Piaggio has launched the more feature loaded VX variant of the Vespa 125 for Rs 71,380 (ex-showroom Delhi). With the new variant, the retro looking lifestyle scooter continues to offer niche styling but now adds substance with better equipment and features’ list.
The most important additions to the Vespa VX are the 200mm front disk brake and tubeless MRF Zapper tyres. The cosmetic upgrades include two new colours – Vibrante Rosa and Portovenere Verde (Metallic Pink and Green), while the Black and Maroon have been discontinued due to lack of demand. The instrument cluster has also been updated to give a fresh look and at the same time the grab rail for the pillion is longer as compared to the LX 125 variant. Piaggio is also offering beige seat with this premium variant.
The Vespa VX is powered by the same 125cc engine that powers the LX 125 variant. It produces 10.06bhp and 10.6Nm of torque and delivers it through a CVT automatic gearbox. At this price point, the Vespa VX is the most expensive scooter in its segment.
