The official unvieling of KTMs faired 390 Duke aka RC390 was to happen early next month at EICMA Milan, however Visordown has reported some eye candy pictures of what seems like the RC390. The RC390 is based on the same platform of the 390 Duke. KTM India had confirmed that atleast two new fully faired bikes would be launched this year. This also means that we might see a RC200 launching sometime soon in India.
The RC390 too has an exposed sub frame as seen on the newly launched 1290 Super Duke R and follows the edgy styling like on the RC8R.
Design wise, the RC390 looks extremely similar to the ADAC Cup spec version which was unvieled a few months back. However, this time around, elements like the tail lamps, indicators, license plateholder, rear view mirrors, and the jazzy dual lamp headlamps confirm it to be road ready. The short stubby exhaust makes way for an underbelly exhaust similar to the ones on the Duke. The Rear seat seems to be covered by a cowl and has no visible grab rails.
The handlebars are now lower than the Duke, and this would make for a fairly sporty posture. If launched in India, this would be KTMs fourth made-in-India-for-the-world offering after the 125, 200 & the newly launched 390 Duke. With 43PS of power and just 147KGs wet weight, this promises to be one exciting machine!
