- New slicks developed for 300-400cc bikes
- Can be fitted on RC390, Ninja 300, RR 310
Pirelli, a brand known to make one of the best racing tyres in the world has now ventured into a new segment. The company has developed racing slicks for 300cc-400cc class of motorcycles.
These new tyres will be available in 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear and only in SC1 (soft) compound. So motorcycles like the KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and even the TVS Apache RR 310 can be equipped with these new Pirellis.
The company claims that the front tyre has been developed for improved handling and grip, whereas the rear will have the exact same traits as the Diablo Supercorsa. Pirelli has jumped on the bandwagon at the right time, considering the growing popularity of racing in the 300cc-400cc segment.
These tyres will hit the market this year as soon the racing season begins. Indian market is likely to get these tyres as there are a lot of racers in the class who will benefit from it. However, the pricing is likely be on the higher side as it needs to be imported.
