Even though Pokémon GO has not been officially launched in India yet there are a number of users who have downloaded the file illegally and gone gaga over the game. The game does not need an introduction since it has been all over social media from a month now. So, a part of the game requires one to travel a certain distance to hatch virtual eggs and this is where the menace begins.
There have been instances where users of the smartphone game have found a dead body or crashed their car into a standing police car. This clearly shows just how desperate people are getting “to catch ‘em all”, what’s worse is how this is affecting Indian motorcyclists. No I am not talking about four-wheelers on the road proving to be hazard for Indian bikers, the motorcyclists themselves are the hazard.
Let me explain, while these “trainers” have been searching for their Pikachus and Psyducks, we have been observing them. These individuals decide to hop on to their mopeds or motorcycles and ride on the streets literally at a walking pace. Now you may ask, what exactly is wrong with motorcyclist going super slow. A lot really! The part of the world who do not want to “be the very best” do not expect individuals aboard mopeds and motorcyclist to be going this slow and can drive right into them which can prove to be dangerous.
The game displays a warning every time you start it up, so please, for the sake of finally collecting enough Magikarps to evolve into Gyarados, follow the rules and stay safe.
