As a part of 2016 line-up, Triumph is updating many of its motorcycles and the Speed Triple R is one of them. Recently, the production ready version was spied testing somewhere in Europe.
The spied Speed Triple R gets a new red subframe which looks quite striking. Other additions are the new fuel tank, new radiator covers, smaller tail unit and a new fly screen with air intake. The 2016 Speed Triple R will get split seats rather than the single seat, which is seen on the current model. However, it will continue to get the premium Ohlins suspension.
When it comes to power, there could be a power bump to 140bhp from 133bhp. This information was taken during a survey sent to Speed Triple owners from Triumph. This survey also suggested that the new bike will get better traction control, multiple engine modes and electronic throttles. The British manufacturer also plans to install a new exhaust system and a catalytic converter on the 2016 Speed Triple R.
We are expecting Triumph Motorcycles to unveil the 2016 Speed Triple R at the 2015 EICMA Show. After its global debut, the bike will come to India at the 2016 Auto Expo.
