- New Himalayan 450 spotted inside factory
- Reveals almost all design details
- Likely to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh
Royal Enfield is having a busy second half of 2023. In just a few days, it will launch the next-generation Bullet 350, and before the year ends, the much awaited Himalayan 450 will make its global debut. Luckily for us, the bike has been spotted in production avatar.
The pictures of this adventure bike has been clicked inside Royal Enfield’s facility. From these pictures, it is clear that this Royal Enfield retains some design language from the current Himalayan 411. Things like the headlight unit and metal frame connecting fuel tank to the headlight have been inspired from its current gen model. But rest of the things on this motorcycle are brand new, including that trellis frame.
The main highlight of the Himalayan 450 is the engine. The 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor is brand new and will power at least five more motorcycles in future. The expected power output for the Himalayan 450 is expected to be around 35-40bhp and will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
This ADV will be equipped with USD front forks and a rear monoshock while the braking hardware will include front and rear disc brakes with ABS. The braking setup will be mounted on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in off-road-ready tyres.
Royal Enfield will launch the new Himalayan 450 on 1st November and will compete with the KTM 390 Adventure and the BMW G310GS. The price tag is expected to be around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
