We all know Yamaha has been working on a faired version of the FZ25. But now, we’ve finally managed to see the production ready model of the Fazer 25 which is expected to launch during festive season.
While most of the cycle parts on the Fazer 25 is from the FZ 25, the major change seen here is the addition of fairing. This has made the motorcycle more muscular and big. However, Yamaha has gone overboard with the overall design. The front looks a little disproportionate with the plastics around the single headlamp unit.
Powering this motorcycle is the same 249cc, single-cylinder fuel-injected motor. This mill produces 21bhp and 20Nm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed transmission. The refinement level of this motor is expected to be on par with its naked sibling.
Once launched, this Yamaha will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. We’re expecting Yamaha to come out with some fantastic paint schemes for the Fazer 25 which is bound to get a lot of attention. In terms of pricing, the Fazer 250 will be more expensive than the FZ25 by at least Rs 20,000.
