For the first time, production ready model of the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R15 V 3.0 has been spied in India. The company has been testing this fully-faired bike since the last few weeks but this is the first time a blue variant has been shot on the road.
It’s clear from the spyshots that the upcoming R15 won’t get the upside-down forks (USD) and will continue to get the telescopic ones. This has been done to keep costs in check, which will help Yamaha price the bike competitively. Rumours suggest that the Indian version will churn over 19bhp of peak power, however, this can be confirmed once the official launch takes place.
Yamaha decided to have a late launch of the version 3 because there’s still good demand for the current model, especially for the S variant. We’re expecting the Japanese automaker to launch the new R15 at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo at a price considerably more than the current model.
