- Sports similar design as the Rocket TFC
- Will be powered by a 2500cc, in-line three cylinder engine
- Expected to debut at 2019 EICMA
The 2020 Triumph Rocket III has been spied testing near the Hinckley factory in what seems to be its production-ready form.
The bike looks very similar to the limited-edition Rocket TFC that will be unveiled on May 1. However, the production-spec 2020 Rocket III has some subtle tweaks for it to differ from the Rocket TFC. To begin with, it gets a pillion seat unlike the TFC model or the bike that has been spied before. Then there is the silver-finished fork bottoms, clutch and brake levers. The 2020 Rocket III also sports conventional turn signals although it does get LED DRLs on the twin circular headlamps. Furthermore, the Rocket III test mule revealed that the 2020 version will get the full-colour TFT display similar to the Scrambler 1200.
In terms of styling and mechanicals, the 2020 Rocket III is a stark contrast from the preious model. It gets a straight handlebar, slightly forward-set footpegs and a long tank. Besides that it sports a short rear end, new frame and a single-sided swingarm that exposes the rear wheel and the slash-cut eexhausts. Underneathits new clothes is a massive 2500cc, inline-three cylinder engine that is good for 180bhp of power and 230Nm of torque.
We can expect Triumph to unveil the 2020 Rocket III in November at the 2019 EICMA. And it is likely to be launched in India sometime in 2020.
