-KTM 390 ADV alloy-wheel version spotted
-Rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels
-Likely to be launched at 2019 EICMA
The KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing in India as well as abroad more than a couple of times. However this time, the bike has been spied without camouflage and looks production-ready.
The spied bike seems to be touring-focused as it uses alloy wheels which are likely to be 19-inch up front and 17-inch at the rear. Although KTM is expected to offer the 390 Adventure in an off-road biased variant too. That bike could ride on a 21-inch front/18-inch rear wheel setup. The KTM 390 Adventure gets a long seat and merges into the tank which gets sharp shrouds. It also gets elongated engine and radiator guards. At the front, the 390 Adventure comes with a full-LED headlamp similar to the 390 Duke. However, the ADV’s headlamp cowl is flanked by wind deflectors on both sides and a short windscreen.
Powering the motorcycle will be a retuned version of the 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that the 390 Duke uses. The KTM 390 Adventure will be equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled TFT display and also get ride modes along with a ride-by-wire throttle system. As previous spy images have revealed, KTM will offer the bike with touring accessories like a luggage rack, saddle stays and a taller windscreen.
KTM is expected to launch the highly-anticipated 390 Adventure in India by the end of this year at the 2019 EICMA. As for competition, it will go head-on against the BMW G310 GS and the Kawasaki Versys X-300 in India.
