- 2023 KTM 390 Duke spotted testing
- Get new chassis, styling
- Likely to debut in November
KTM's most expensive motorcycle in India will receive many significant upgrades. The next-generation KTM 390 Duke has been spotted testing in India once again.
The test mule was wearing camouflage and was under test at night somewhere in Pune. Bajaj usually avoids testing its motorcycles at night, but it looks like it is making an exception for this upcoming KTM. The company is doing controlled testing as it is summer, and the temperature is relatively high throughout the day. When the temperature isn't that high, Bajaj may be looking to extract the bike's testing data. Recently, the production version KTM 390 Duke was spotted in Europe, and those pictures revealed quite a few details. This upcoming KTM features an updated LED headlight unit with boomerang-style split DRLs. The tank design is new, and the aerodynamically designed tank shrouds extend beyond the forks.
In terms of power, the bike is likely to be powered by a bigger 399cc engine, with the focus being on tractability and refinement. The spy images also suggest a slightly different design to its crankcase and head. We can expect a bump in power figures over its current version that pumps out 43bhp and 37Nm.
We expect KTM to unveil the 2023 390 Duke at the 2023 EICMA, with the India launch happening at the beginning of 2024. The overall pricing is likely to go up a bit, but the bike may still find a lot of takers due to its performance and styling.
