Pure EV has recalled 2,000 units of its ETrance+ and EPluto 7G electric scooters following the fire incidents that took place in Nizamabad and Chennai.
The electric two-wheeler manufacturer said in its official communication that the concerned vehicles will be thoroughly checked for their health. It further added that the batteries would be checked for potential imbalance issues and calibrated through its device, Batrics Faraday.
Furthermore, the company will also calibrate the battery management system (BMS) and the charger on the aforementioned vehicles. The owners of the concerned vehicles would be contacted by Pure EV dealers for the recall.
Pure EV is not the only brand to announce a recall for its electric scooters. Earlier in April 2022, Okinawa Autotech voluntarily recalled 3,215 units of Praise Pro scooters to fix any issue related to batteries. The company said that this recall is part of its comprehensive power pack health check-up camps.
