Over 700 riders from the Harley-Davidson Owners Group (HOG) gathered in Pushkar last week, as the city played host to the third edition of the Northern HOG Rally. Conducted from November 7 to November 9, the 700 odd riders made this edition of HOG Rally the largest zonal event of its kind, so far.
The zonal HOG rallies take place every year during the riding season between Spetember and March. It is a great platform for Harley-Davidson owners and enthusiasts from nook and corner of the country to get together. The venue in Pushkar included a number of activities like hot air balloon ride over the city, helicopter rides over the dessert, a custom motorcycle zone, a motorcycle maintenance zone and an arm wrestling corner. The company also had the newly launched Softail Breakout cruiser on display at the event. The next edition of the Eastern HOG Rally will take place in Khajurao, in December 2014.
Speaking about the growing interest among Harley-Davidson customers for such customer initiatives, Utkarsh Baxi, dealer principal, Dunes Harley Davidson said, “Leisure motorcycling culture has always been popular in Rajasthan and since the opening of Dunes Harley-Davidson last year, we have seen the culture grow. The passion and enthusiasm from customers for the brand continues to inspire us on delivering a great customer ownership experience in the state.”
Deepesh Tanwar, director Dunes Chapter, Jaipur added, “It was great to see Harley owners ride long distances to join the brotherhood in Pushkar, Rajasthan. We look forward to organizing many such rallies in Rajasthan and inspire new and experienced riders alike to ride more and get more out of their journey of finding freedom and celebrating self-expression on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles.”
