-SRC 250 gets Rs 30,000 discount
-SRC 500 gets Rs 40,000 discount
The QJ Motor SRC 250 and the SRC 500 are available with festive season discounts that are applicable immediately. The SRC 250 is priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom and that makes it cheaper by Rs 30,000. The SRC 500, on the other hand, was priced at Rs 2.4 lakh, ex-showroom will now cost Rs 1.99 lakh. That’s a saving of Rs 40,000.
While these discounts are significant and make these bikes appear quite lucrative, QJ Motors’ relatively low brand recall and sparse service network in the face of established competition is a challenge.
To recap, the QJ SRC 250 is a retro-styled street motorcycle that’s powered by a 249cc engine. It develops 17.61bhp at 8,000rpm and 17Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The QJ SRC 500, on the other hand, is a retro-styled cruiser. It is powered by a 480cc, single-cylinder engine. It develops 25.15bhp at 5,750rpm and 36Nm at 4,250rpm. It is linked with a five-speed gearbox.
When we tested the QJ SRC 500, we liked it for its design and engine performance. However, it lacked features and the price was on the expensive end of the scale. The price cut should take care of this to some extent.
In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the Benelli Imperiale 400 and the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
