- QJ Motor SRV 300 shown at the Auto Expo
- Launched in India at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom)
China-based QJ Motor, which entered India in November last year, was present at the Auto Expo 2023 with a couple of motorcycles from its portfolio. One of the more interesting bikes amongst these was the SRV 300 modern cruiser. This twin-cylinder thumper is available in India at an exorbitant price of Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Although it lies on the expensive side of the spectrum, it goes up against the likes of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda Hness CB350 in terms of body style and displacement.
The QJ SRV 300 looks quite big and imposing for its displacement. Making up its bodywork is a beefy teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a chopped yet wide rear fender for a tail, and chunky tyres. Adding to the visual bulk is a two-into-one bulbous exhaust canister. For delivering cruise-centric laid-back ergonomics, there’s a scooped seat, forward-set footpegs, and a wide pulled-back handlebar. Moreover, it looks like a factory custom offering due to the blacked-out finish for most of its components.
Besides its styling, the highlight of the SRV 300 is its engine which is a 296cc, V-Twin, liquid-cooled motor that makes 30.3bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 26Nm at 5,000rpm. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with a wet clutch. Further, there’s a 13.5-litre fuel tank while the kerb weight of the bike stands at 164kg. It rides on a 16-15-inch alloy wheel combination suspended by upside-down forks and dual springs while the braking hardware comprises a single disc at both ends.
