- Gets mechanical revisions for added power
- Uses carbon-fibre body panels
- Features Ohlins-sourced suspension setup
TVS Racing has announced that it will hold the first-ever TVS Asia One Make Championship in May 2022. The participants of this competition will use race-spec Apache RR 310 motorcycles that have received a major overhaul over the road-legal model.
For starters, the company claims that this race-spec Apache RR 310 has been designed and engineered from the ground up. It is loaded with additional tech to make it track-ready. Furthermore, this race-spec model also gets mechanical upgrades to draw more power from its 312cc DOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine than the street-legal version. The engine on the race-spec bike uses forged pistons, titanium valves, and HLHD cams, which results in higher power output. This race-spec motorcycle is also equipped with the RAM air intake system that further increases the top speed.
Other features on the motorcycle include lightweight carbon fibre panels, Ohlins adjustable and custom-built suspension, twin-sided exhaust cannisters, and Dunlop soft compound radial racing tyres. The styling includes a racing livery in a shade of blue. Then, the sponsor stickers are visible on the fairing alongside TVS Racing decals.
TVS Racing will shortlist eight riders from countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Australia, and the Philippines. Additionally, eight other riders will be nominated independently by the TVS Racing team for the race.
