- Records its highest ever top speed of 211.3kmph
- Clocks its fastest lap time at the Chang circuit
- Vorapong Malahuan won TVS Asia One Make Championship
TVS Racing has put itself on the international map of motorsports by conducting the maiden edition of the TVS Asia One Make Championship and becoming the first ever Indian manufacturer to do so at a global level. Making this even more celebratory was the race machine used in this series which recorded its highest-ever top speed.
All the racers competed astride the TVS OMC RR 310 race machine which is based on the road-spec Apache RR310. Courtesy of the substantial changes executed in the race bike, it was able to attain an incredible (for a 310cc bike) top speed of 211.3kmph which was 9kmph faster than the bike’s own previous record. This was achieved by executing a few internal changes in its engine alongside tweaking the bike’s suspension and engine braking characteristics. Moreover, the aforementioned top speed helped the bike clock its best lap time of 1:50.850 at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand.
As for the riders, dominating TVS Asia One Make Championship was Vorapong Malahuan who emerged as the overall winner by leading both races in the final round of the competition. Following him in the second and third positions were Watcharin Tubtimon and Decky Tiarno Aldy.
