Rajini Krishnan and Vishwadev M put up an impressive performance at the second round of the Malaysian Superbike Championship, last week.
Rajini had a good start to the weekend after having qualified for the second place on the grid. He put up a good fight for the first position until the penultimate lap, when a gearbox snag saw him finish in the third position. In the race 2, a bad start saw Rajini drop behind a few places in the first lap itself. While trying to climb up the order, the exhaust pipe on his Kawasaki ZX-10R sustained damage, resulting in him losing some speed. Nevertheless, Rajini finished the race in the fourth position.
Vishwadev Muraleedharan, riding a Ninja 250R in the 250cc category, failed to finish the race 1. However, he made up for this loss by finishing fourth in the race 2. Thanks to a stroke of luck, Vishwadev was moved to the third position with the disqualification of a rider due to technical infringement. Dinesh Kumar, who is also competing in the 250cc category, finished seventh in race 1 and sixth in race 2. Round 3 of the Malaysian Superbike Championship will be conducted between 28 July and 30 July at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), Kuala Lumpur.
