All Revolt RV 400 buyers in Rajasthan will be entitled to save Rs 10,690 as the state government has announced new incentives on the purchase of electric vehicles. Under the new Rajasthan Electric Vehicle Policy 2021, the government is granting a substantial subsidy, depending on the battery capacity of the electric two-wheeler, along with a refund of State GST.
The aforementioned incentive amount on the Revolt RV 400 is calculated considering its battery capacity of 3.2kWh. According to the new state policy, battery-wise incentives on two-wheelers in Rajasthan are as follows:
Up to 2kWh: Rs 5,000
Up to 4kWh: Rs 7,000
Up to 5kWh: Rs 9,000
Over 5kWh: Rs 10,000
The subsidy amount will be transferred by the state government directly into the buyer’s bank account. Notably, this subsidy is over and above the benefits granted by the central government which accounts to Rs 48,000 for Revolt Motors. This will be paid directly to the brand by the centre. Please note that Revolt electric bikes are sold only in select cities as of now and they’re yet to be launched in Rajasthan.
The new policy comes on the heels of similar benefits announced by other states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and Meghalaya. Notably, benefits offered by the Rajasthan government are the least yet as compared to other states. The highest incentive on EVs is being provided by the Meghalaya government which, in the case of Revolt, is Rs 32,000 along with exemption from paying registration fees and road tax.
