- Revolt begins deliveries of a fresh batch of the RV 400
- Receives overwhelming response in terms of bookings
- Speeding up its production to match the demand
Revolt Motors has commenced the deliveries of a fresh batch of its electric motorcycle, the RV 400, in India. The company states that it dispatched the latest batch of the RV 400 for deliveries after receiving an overwhelming response in terms of bookings.
Revolt currently has a presence in six cities in India including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. Deliveries have started taking place in all these locations. The electric two-wheeler maker has been working at a brisk pace at its Manesar plant to deliver vehicles that have been booked for a while. It's also trying to significantly bring down the waiting period.
The demand for electric vehicles has been rising substantially owing to the consistently skyrocketing fuel prices. Also, the recent 50 per cent hike in the FAME II subsidy resulted in a price drop for many EVs. Interestingly, select states are providing their own subsidies. Under the new subsidy scheme rolled out in Gujarat, the RV 400 buyers can save up to Rs 68,000 in the state.
The Revolt RV 400 boasts an ICE motorcycle-like styling while it also offers modern features like internet and cloud connectivity along with access to the MyRevolt app. It is powered by a 3.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a range of about 150kms. Moreover, the top speed is also impressive at 85kmph.
