Revolt Motors surprised us at the launch of the RV400 by introducing its more affordable sibling, the RV300. Although a lower-spec model of the two, the RV300 is no less of an enticing proposition with all the modernity we would expect from an e-bike. To elaborate this, let's take a glimpse at the five highlights of the RV300.
Sporty styling
The RV300 is the same attractive machine as the RV400, with a few distinctions to set it apart. Besides the minor differences on the bodywork, the biggest change is the dedicated colour options; the RV300 comes in Smokey Grey and Neon Black paint schemes.
Starting from the compact headlamp, muscular fuel tank-like panel to the huge fairing and svelte tail section, the RV300 looks as aggressive as modern-day petrol-powered naked street bikes. The presence of chunky upside down forks, exposed sub-frame and eight-spoke black alloy wheels lend further appeal to the motorcycle.
Battery and Motor
While the RV300 is aesthetically similar to the RV400, the major differences lie under the skin. Being the lower-spec model, the RV300 runs a 1.5kW hub-mounted motor, as opposed to a 3.5kW mid-drive motor on the RV400. Furthermore, the former is powered by a 3.24kW lithium-ion battery which is claimed to get 75 per cent charged in three hours and 100 per cent charged in 4.5 hours.
Three riding modes
To match with the varied riding style and preferences of the owners, the RV300 offers three riding modes including Eco, Normal and Sports, which can be changed on-the-fly. As the name suggests, the Eco mode provides a range of 150kms but the top speed is limited to 45kmph. Meanwhile, the Normal mode offers a range of 100kms with the top speed of 65kmph while the Sport mode delivers a range of 80kms with the top speed up to 80kmph.
Stuffed with electronic gizmos
Revolt has equipped its offerings with enough features to justify that tag of ‘India’s first AI-enabled motorcycle’. Through a mobile app named as ‘MyRevolt, the user can get access to various information about their bike including riding history, battery status, SOS battery delivery, Geo locate/Geo fencing and Revolt switch (helps tracking the nearest battery swapping station). What’s further interesting is, keeping the rider’s comfort in mind, the RV300 gets six-step manually adjustable footpegs. Impressive! The motorcycle also comes equipped with full-LED lighting and an all-digital instrument cluster.
Pricing and other benefits
The RV300 is available with Revolt’s unique ownership subscription plan under which you pay Rs 2,999 per month for 37 months. This results in the buyer paying around Rs 1.11 lakhs for the bike. In order to enhance the ownership experience, Revolt is also offering battery warranty of 1.5 lakh km/eight years, free maintenance benefits of three years/30,000kms, product warranty of five years/75,000kms and free insurance. What’s more, the buyer can also opt for a three-year 4G connectivity for the bike by paying an additional amount of Rs 5,000 at the time of booking.
