- Revolt Motors commence deliveries of the RV400 in Ahmedabad
- Gujarat government currently offering Rs 10,000 per kWh subsidy
- Customer can save at least Rs 20,000 on the RV400
Revolt Motors has commenced the deliveries of its RV400 electric motorcycle in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The company confirmed the beginning of deliveries of the new batch of motorcycles in the city via its social media handles. The company also stated that it aims timely deliveries of its electric motorcycles in other cities too.
The electric two-wheeler brand had announced revised prices for the state of Gujarat after the state government announced special subsidies on electric vehicles. Gujarat government had announced in June this year that it will pay Rs 10,000 per kWh as a Direct Benefit Transfer initiative to electric two-wheeler buyers in the state. The state-level benefits are over and above the FAME-II subsidy of Rs 15,000 per kWh announced by the central government.
Following the announcement of the state-level subsidy, Revolt Motors has stated that its customers can save at least Rs 20,000 on the RV400 electric motorcycle under the Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021.
In other updates, Revolt Motors is reportedly developing an affordable electric motorcycle to replace the RV300. The new model, which is expected to be called the RV1, will be considerably cheaper than the flagship RV400 motorcycle. The company plans to phase out the RV300, and as part of the plan, it has partnered with Domino’s pizza delivery chain in India. Domino’s will acquire the entire existing inventory of Revolt RV300 electric motorcycles.
