- Revolt RV400, RV300 first batches delivered in Chennai and Ahmedabad
- Dealerships were established between February-March in these cities
- Deliveries delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Revolt Motors has delivered the first batch of its electric motorcycles, the RV 400 and RV 300, in Chennai and Ahmedabad. The company has established two dealerships in both the cities in India.
The company had started its operation in India in August 2019 by setting up dealerships in Delhi and Pune, followed by the commencement of deliveries. Subsequently, in the period of February-March 2020, the brand expanded its reach in three more cities – Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Chennai where deliveries were supposed to take place soon after the inauguration of dealerships. However, disruptions caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic pushed it ahead. Now, with the lockdown easing in select regions in India, the company has gradually restarted dispatching the electric motorcycles.
The Revolt RV 400 and RV 300 boast of a styling which is majorly identical with a sharp and aggressive-looking design. They are differentiated in terms of specifications and features. The RV 400 is propelled by a 3KW motor which is powered by a 3.24KWh battery. It is capable of achieving a top speed of 85kmph while the battery range is up to 150kms. On the other hand, the RV 300 incorporates a 1.5KW motor and a 2.7KWh battery delivering a range of up to 180kms and a top speed of 65kmph.
Revolt retails both the bikes through a unique subscription plan. While the RV 400 can be bought with a plan of Rs 3,999 per month for 38 months, the more affordable RV 300 is available at Rs 2,999 per month for 37 months. Under the brand’s one-time payment option, the former is available at Rs 1,03,999 while the latter costs Rs 84,999 (both prices are ex-showroom).
