- Revolt Motors extends its free battery switching facility to 31st March
- Available for customers in Delhi and Pune
- Battery swapping will be chargeable after the offer expires
At the launch of its electric motorcycles, the RV400 and RV300, in August 2019, Revolt Motors had announced a limited-period free battery switching facility for its customers. Back then, the company had stated that the buyers will be able to avail this benefit until 31st December 2019. However, Revolt has now extended its validity to 31st March.
The free battery swapping facility is available only in Delhi and Pune where Revolt had initiated its operations from. In these cities, the company has set up battery switching stations where customers can visit and swap the drained batteries for fully-charged units. Once the validity of free switching facility ends, the customers will be charged for swapping the batteries.
The battery swapping feature in the RV300 and RV400 enhances convenience for its owners by providing more options to juice it up than just plugging it to a charging socket. However, the weight of each battery stands at around 18kgs which makes switching it a laborious task. Both the electric bikes are powered by lithium-ion batteries with varying capacities which deliver different riding ranges.
Revolt Motors is currently expanding its reach in more cities across India. By the end of this month, it will have its dealerships inaugurated in four more cities including Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai.
