- Domino's to procure entire inventory of Revolt's RV300
- RV300 likely to be replaced by a new e-bike
- Revolt e-bike's running cost is approximately Rs 9 per 100km
Revolt Motors, backed by RattanIndia Enterprise, has partnered with Domino's, the pizza delivery chain in India. As a part of the collaboration, Domino's will acquire the entire existing inventory of Revolt's RV300. The pizza delivery chain will in fact be replacing its petrol bikes with Revolt's electric motorcycles.
Domino's had been testing Revolt electric bikes for its deliveries for quite some time, and now the company has decided to procure RV300 and other customised Revolt e-bikes to transform its fleet. These e-bikes will be customised for Jubilant FoodWorks (a food service company) that has exclusive rights of Domino's in India.
Considering the requirements of a food delivery business, it makes sense to go with electric motorcycles, considering the lesser initial cost of e-bikes (thanks to government subsidies), lower maintenance and lower running cost of the electric bike. Revolt Motors claims that the running cost of its e-bikes is approximately Rs 9 per 100km. With the RV300 to be used for commercial purposes, the company might launch a new e-bike. The replacement for the RV300 is likely to be called the RV1.
