- Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser spied
- Gets headlamp cowl
- Is likely to be launched sometime in 2022
Royal Enfield has been working on its upcoming range of motorcycles in full force. While the Classic 350 and Hunter 350 have been spotted on a couple of occasions, the company’s 650cc cruiser has also made its appearances time and again.
The motorcycle offers traditional cruiser ergonomics with a wide, sweptback handlebar and forward-set controls. And the designers at Royal Enfield have taken inspiration from the KX bobber showcased at the EICMA 2018. So it gets a seemingly long wheelbase, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a circular headlamp that is likely to get LED lighting, and a low-slung tail section with twin pipes at either side.
The latest spy shots also reveal the instrument cluster on the Royal Enfield 650 cruiser which includes a large, circular unit on the left and the Tripper navigation system fitted next to it. The motorcycle is expected to come powered by the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This motor churns out 47bhp and 57Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Now, Royal Enfield has revealed that it is looking to launch a new motorcycle every four months. With the Classic 350, Scram 411, and Hunter 350 in line, the 650 Cruiser is expected to debut sometime in 2022. It is likely to be priced around Rs 3.5-4 lakh; a premium over the current 650 twins.
