- Bullet 650 Twin trademark leaked
- Spotted testing a few times
- Will be powered by the existing 649cc, air/oil-cooled, twin-cylinder motor
Royal Enfield has trademarked the Bullet 650 Twin for its upcoming middleweight motorcycle. The bike has been spotted testing a few times and will be a 650cc version of the Bullet series. Here is what we know about it.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 borrows some design elements from the current Bullet 350. This includes the squared-off rear fender, scooped single-piece seat, and the headlight beak. Apart from that, the test mule of the Bullet 650 Twin has been spotted multiple times and seemed to be inching closer to production during its last test run.
It will be powered by the same 649cc, air/oil-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that the brand has been using for the Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and the Shotgun 650. It makes 47bhp and 52Nm and will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. You can expect it to get telescopic front forks and dual rear springs on the hardware front along with a front and rear disc mounted on spoke wheels. These will be wrapped in tubed tyres.
We expect Royal Enfield to equip the Bullet 650 Twin with a simple instrument console comprising a speedometer, tripmeter, fuel level readout, and more. However, it will be interesting to see whether the Bullet 650 Twin gets twin-pod instrumentation like the other 650s or will it get a layout similar to the 350. Moreover, this will be the most affordable 650 in Royal Enfield’s line up and we don’t expect it to get an LED headlight. That said, it will get dual-channel ABS.
We expect the Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin to debut around mid-2025. But the Classic 650 and the Scrambler 650 are expected to make their entry in the market before that.
