The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin has been undergoing validation testing for quite some time now and is getting closer to production. The motorcycle will be based on the Shotgun 650 chassis, and here’s everything you need to know about the Bullet 650 Twin.
Positioning
The Bullet 650 Twin will be the most affordable 650cc bike from Royal Enfield. The ‘Bullet’ nameplate has a strong brand recall in India and is immensely popular in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The motorcycle could turn out to be the perfect upgrade for existing Bullet 350 owners.
Design
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin will derive a lot of its styling cues from the Bullet 350 and the upcoming Classic 650 Twin. The motorcycle will feature the signature teardrop fuel tank and a round headlamp with a beak, while the squared-off rear fender and the single-piece seat will complete the ‘Bullet’ styling. The Bullet 650 Twin will ride on wire-spoke wheels, lending it an old-school charm.
Engine
Powering the Bullet 650 Twin will be a 648cc, parallel-twin, SOHC engine that pumps out 46.4bhp and 52.3Nm of peak torque. It will be linked with a six-speed gearbox. The twin-cylinder motor is a gem of a power plant that offers excellent refinement levels and good performance.
Cycle Parts
The Bullet 650 Twin will be underpinned by the same chassis as the Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650. It will be suspended on telescopic forks up front and twin coilover springs at the back. Meanwhile, braking duties will be handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
Launch Details
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin is likely to be launched in India around mid-2025. It is expected to be priced under Rs. 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
