The Royal Enfield sold 4,647 units of the Bullet Electra Twinspark in May 2016 compared to 1214 units in April 2016. This huge growth is most likely owing to the increase in supply from Royal Enfield.
The Electra Bullet was given a minor update this year with the addition of two new hues: - maroon and blue. Besides these two new colours options the motorcycle has remained largely unchanged. It still features the same four-stroke single-cylinder 346cc engine. This UCE or Unit Construction Engine replaced the previous Cast Iron (CI) engines. The air-cooled and fuel-injected engine churns out 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox with a wet multiplate clutch.
This increase of supply from Royal Enfield could be to cut down the waiting period on the bike. The Bullet Electra currently has a minimum waiting period of 45 days and it’s priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
