Royal Enfield recently launched the Bullet Trials 500 in the Indian market with a sticker price of Rs 2.07 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on the standard Bullet 500, the Bullet Trials 500 is more off-road friendly and gets a few cosmetic and mechanical upgrades that give it a distinctive appeal. However if you are on the lookout for a bike around the same price tag, there are five options that you can consider. Here is the list-
In Royal Enfield’s showrooms itself there are three bikes that you can consider. There is the Classic 500 Chrome which costs Rs 2.10 lakhs. The motorcycle like its name suggests is based on the Classic 500 and is adorned with generous amounts of chrome.
You can also have the Thunderbird 500 at Rs 1.91 lakhs. The city cruiser has a sweptback handlebar for a slightly laid-back riding position along with tons of chrome. In absolute contrast is the Thunderbird 500X that sports blacked-out components and a straight handlebar that gives it a custom look. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 X is priced at Rs 2.13 lakhs. All three motorcycles from Royal Enfield in this list are powered by the same 499cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 27.2bhp and 41.3Nm of torque.
If classic looking cruisers are not your preference, there are two fully-faired motorcycles to consider around the price tag of the Bullet Trials 500. The TVS Apache RR310 retails at Rs 2.23 lakhs and sports an aggressively sharp fairing that houses twin LED projector headlamps. The bike is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 33bhp and 27.3Nm of torque. Honda has the CBR 250R priced at Rs 1.94 lakhs. The motorcycle which is promoted as a sports-tourer has a purposeful full-LED headlamp. It uses a 249cc, single-cylinder motor that puts out 25.7bhp and 22.9Nm of torque.
