-Dual seat variant spotted
-Gets white walled tyres
-Based on the Royal Enfield Classic 350
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber has been spotted testing once again. As the name suggests, this motorcycle is based on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and is a Bobber-style bike. Which explains the ape hanger handlebar, the deeply scooped seat and the white walled tyres.
While Bobber’s are essentially bikes with a single seat, the variant we’ve seen here has the optional pillion seat attached. This is to improve the practicality of the motorcycle and we’ve seen Royal Enfield offer such an option with the Shotgun 650 as well.
Mechanically, the Classic 350 Bobber will be identical to the Classic 350 that is based on. It will be powered by a 349cc, air-cooled engine that produces 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The bike employs a cradle frame with a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is taken care of by a disc on both wheels.
Expect Royal Enfield is likely to introduce a range of interesting colour options on the Classic 350 Bobber. They’ve also recently refreshed the Classic 350 and the new colours on those bikes look great. The ‘Bobber’ meanwhile, will be positioned as a premium offering and it is expected to be revealed by the end of the year, bearing a price tag of around Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom.
