The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber has been spotted testing on Indian roads. As the name suggests, this is a Royal Enfield Classic 350 in a stripped down form and with a ‘Bobber’ motorcycle like riding position.
The design, to begin with, looks attractive with the neatly shaped fuel tank, the fork covers and the swooping fenders, both at the front and the rear. What will catch everyone’s attention is the ape hanger handlebar and the single piece seat for the rider in the standard trim.
The bike will also be available with a removable pillion seat, as is seen on this particular test bike. The floating effect for the pillion seat is another interesting touch. The riding position itself will be relaxed with a comfortable reach to the handlebar and forward set footpegs.
The chassis, engine and other bits should be the same as on the Classic 350. To recap, it has a 349cc, air-cooled engine that produces 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
It’ll come equipped with a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The bike rides on wire spoke wheels, shod with white-walled, tube-type tyres. Braking duties will be taken care of by a disc brake at the front and rear wheels.
The bike is expected to be revealed by the end of the year and be priced at Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom.
