- Appears similar to the X440
- Is equipped with additional bits like leg guard, engine guard and more
- Could be out for component testing as well
A new Harley-Davidson X440-based mule has been spotted testing. It appears similar to the current production model but has multiple accessories like the leg guard, engine guard, centre stand and front windscreen. While the brand could be working on a new model for its lineup, one cannot rule out the possibility of component testing with the same model as the one on sale, as seen in the above image.
From the spy shot, it appears to have the same boxy fuel tank, scooped rider seat, horizontal tail light, USD front forks, dual rear shocks and exhaust as well. For reference, the Harley-Davidson X440 uses a single-cylinder 440cc liquid-cooled engine and it makes 27 bhp and a torque of 38 Nm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Harley-Davidson offers the X440 in three variants – Denim, Vivid and S. All three models look the same but differ in terms of features, colour options and hardware (wheels). The top-spec model gets full LED illumination, TFT with smartphone connectivity that gives you access to turn-by-turn navigation, music control, accept and reject calls, phone battery status, missed call alert, message alert and network strength. The remaining two miss out on the above-mentioned bits.
The asking price for the Harley-Davidson X440 is set at Rs. 2,39,500 for the Denim model, while the Vivid and S trims cost Rs. 2,59,500 and Rs. 2,79,500 (all ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
