Royal Enfield has recently launched the Classic 500 ABS with prices starting at Rs 1.99 lakhs and go up to Rs 2.10 lakhs. Around the same price, there are eight options you could consider. Here is the list-
From Royal Enfield’s stables there is the Thunderbird 500 and Thunderbird 500X which retail at Rs 1.91 lakhs and Rs 1.98 lakhs respectively. Both bikes are powered by a similar 499cc, single-cylinder engine as the Classic 500. This unit puts out 27.2bhp and 41.3Nm of torque. However these bikes are not equipped with ABS.
UM Motorcycles offers three options in the form of the Renegade Classic, Renegade Mojave and Renegade Commando. The Renegade Classic sports majority of chrome components while the Mojave and Commando get blacked out parts. All three bikes use a 279cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 25bhp and 23Nm of torque. While the Renegade Classic costs Rs 2 lakhs, the Renegade Mojave and Renegade Commando retail at Rs 1.82 lakhs each. None of the three get an ABS unit.
There also is a streetfighter in this list, the Mahindra Mojo XT300. The bike retails at Rs 1.79 lakhs. It is powered by a 295cc, single-cylinder engine that puts out 26.5bhp and 30Nm of torque. However, unlike the Royal Enfield Classic 500 with ABS, the Mojo misses out on the safety feature.
The only bike which offers a dual-channel ABS around the price of the Classic 500 ABS is the TVS Apache RR 310 at Rs 2.23 lakhs. The full-faired motorcycle is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 33bhp and 27.3Nm of torque.
