While it is expected to arrive in the country in the next couple of months, we bring to you a detailed photo gallery of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus edition-
The Pegasus edition is based on the underpinnings of the Classic 500, which is on sale in India.
The bike draws inspiration from the Royal Enfield RE/WD 125 used by the British military in World War II.
It gets blacked out rims, exhaust, pedals and headlight bezel. The crank case cover on the other hand, is colour coordinated.
The limited edition motorcycle gets a unique serial number stencilled on its fuel tank, similar to the RE/WD 125.
While the Pegasus is offered in olive green and brown colours for other markets, India will only get the latter.
It gets brown handlebar grips, a leather strap with brass buckles on the tool box and a pair of canvas panniers as standard.
Royal Enfield is offering limited-production apparels & accessories adorned by the official military insignia & the Pegasus emblem.
Powering the Classic 500 Pegasus is a 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 27.2bhp and 41.3Nm of torque via a five-speed gearbox.
While prices are yet to be announced, we can expect the Classic 500 Pegasus to be priced around Rs 2.0 to Rs 2.2 lakhs in India.
