- Royal Enfield Classic 500 limited edition launched
- Only 240 units will go on sale
- Priced at AUD 9,590 (Rs 5.37 lakh)
Royal Enfield has launched the Tribute Black edition of the Classic 500 in Australia and New Zealand. The limited-edition model will only have 240 units on sale. Customers can pre-book the motorcycle until 11:59pm on 23 June 2021. The motorcycle is priced at AUD 9,590, which converts to Rs 5.37 lakh.
The Tribute Black models are handcrafted in the Oragadam factory in Chennai which will then be exported to other markets. Likewise, the company had also offered the Tribute Black edition of the Classic 500 in India in February last year to mark the end of the 500cc lineup.
The Tribute Black edition of the Classic 500 will be equipped with accessories like a touring leather seat for the rider and the pillion and an UCE 500cc engine with black livery. Each limited edition model will further carry a serial number plaque and will be hand-painted with Royal Enfield pinstripes by the Kumar Brothers.
The motorcycle will be powered by a 499cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that delivers 27.2bhp at 5,250rpm and 41.3Nm at 4,000rpm. All this power and torque will be taken to its rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.
The suspension duty is handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear assisted by dual-channel ABS.
