- Classic 650 will be powered by a 648cc parallel-twin motor
- The Bobber draws inspiration from the Classic 350
- Both bikes get proper old-school design cues
The upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 and Classic 350-based Bobber test bikes have been spotted together. The new spy shots of both bikes reveal further details and here’s what we know about it.
The Classic 650 will follow the old-school design language and come with a round LED headlight, split seat, and bulb turn indicators. Meanwhile, the Bobber seen here is equipped with a two-piece seat and takes inspiration from the Classic 350. Even its handlebar seems a little taller, owing to its Bobber setup. While it has a pannier on the right side, we expect Royal Enfield to offer it as an accessory only.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 will be equipped with the brand’s current 650cc motor. It’s a 648cc oil-cooled, twin-cylinder motor and dishes 47bhp and 52Nm. The engine will be linked to a six-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield uses it for the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and Super Meteor 650. Meanwhile, the Bobber would use the current J-series motor.
Apart from LED illumination, we expect both bikes to feature ABS and a semi-digital instrument console. The test bikes are equipped with conventional telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks while the braking hardware will include a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. While both models will get spoked wheels, we expect the brand to offer alloys as an option from its accessory catalogue.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 is expected to debut in India in early 2025 with a price tag of around Rs. 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Bobber could be launched sometime at the end of this year and is expected to cost more than the Classic 350’s top-spec model.
