- New Classic 650 Twin launch likely in January
- Goan Classic 350 to be launched at Motoverse
- Classic 650 Twin will be cheaper than Super Meteor 650
Royal Enfield will launch the Classic 650 Twin in India early next year. It was rumoured that this launch would be at Motoverse 2024.
It looks like the company wants to focus entirely on the launch of the Goan Classic 350, as this motorcycle would reach a far wider audience base. Plus, 350cc motorcycles always sell higher than 650cc ones, so it makes sense to keep both launches away from each other.
Plus, the 650cc platform is far more acceptable in the Europe and US as the consumer base is more inclined towards high-performance motorcycles. In India, due to the price point, the entire 350cc range of Royal Enfield will continue to get the majority of the sales. Interestingly, the Goan Classic 350 has received tubeless spoke wheels, which is likely to make it the most expensive 350cc in the company’s lineup.
The Classic 650 Twin is likely to be positioned between the Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650. But the top-end variant of the Classic 650 is likely to be priced closer to the base model of the Super Meteor 650.
