- Royal Enfield reaches South Pole
- Two riders rode modified Himalayan
Royal Enfield has successfully completed its South Pole expedition that started a few days ago. The company managed to accomplish this feat on the Himalayan that was modified to make riding in Antarctica a bit easier.
Two riders – Santhosh Vijay Kumar and Dean Coxson managed to reach the South Pole in 15 days. The crew first arrived in Novo in Antarctica and spent a few days acclimatizing to the region. The team then loaded both the motorcycles on their SUV and drove for 3200kms in nine days. The actual ride was supposed to start from 86 South but due to weather conditions the team had to start the ride from 87 South. It managed to reach its destination on December 16, making it the only motorcycle brand to reach the South Pole.
We congratulate Royal Enfield in achieving this feat and also showcasing the adventure abilities of the Himalayan. The company is betting big on this motorcycle brand as it has managed to successfully offer a good motorcycle at an affordable price point.
