- Continental GT 650 priced at 5,999 USD ( Rs 4.35 lakhs)
- Interceptor 650 costs 5,799 USD (Rs 4.20 lakhs)
- To arrive in India sometime in November.
Royal Enfield has launched its much awaited 650cc twins in the USA today.
While the Continental GT 650 costs 5,999 USD the Interceptor 650 is priced at 5,799 USD. These prices convert to Rs 4.35 lakhs and Rs 4.20 lakhs respectively. However, when the bikes are launched in India around November, they are expected to carry a price tag lesser than this.
The bikes are powered by an air/oil-cooled, 648cc, parallel-twin motor that puts out 47bhp at 7250rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5250rpm. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The Continental GT 650 sports a café-racer design and gets lowered handlebars and rear set foot pegs, similar to the earlier Continental GT 535. The Interceptor, on the other hand, sports a modern-classic styling inspired by the original bike from the ‘70s. It gets a pillion seat as standard unlike the Continental GT 650 which only offers the rider seat.
Royal Enfield is also offering around 40 different accessories for both the bikes as an optional extra. We have ridden both, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 recently. You can read our expert's views on the bikes HERE and HERE.
