Recently, Eicher Motors Limited (EML) announced their financial results along with that came news regarding Royal Enfield’s plan. According to the plan and an International media outlet there is a possibility of Royal Enfield producing motorcycles once again in the UK.
According to the announcement, the company has invested Rs 600 crore back into the business. Moreover, an international media outlet has suggested that a major chunk of this investment has gone into two new technology centres in the UK. The report also suggests that one of these two new centres will be set up in Leicestershire and it will also have a manufacturing unit.
The plant is also said to start operations this year. If the rumours are true, it is likely that the plant will produce higher capacity motorcycles which are yet to be introduced. This can only be good news for RE fans because the entire product range is likely to benefit from the new tech that will be used in these UK built Enfields.
