- Free service and warranty extended by two months
- Production temporarily suspended
- BS4 inventory sold out
Due to the ongoing lockdown in the country, Royal Enfield has kept its dealerships temporarily shut. The company’s Roadside Assistance and Doorstep Services have also been impacted due to the lockdown.
During the period, some owners may have missed the periodic free services or warranty for their motorcycles. To ensure that the customers do no miss the benefits, Royal Enfield has extended the validity of free services due and warranties expiring between 22 March 2020 and 14 April 2020 by 2 months.
In other updates, Royal Enfield has invoked the ‘force majeure’ clause and suspended payments to some of its suppliers. The company is yet to determine whether the force majeure clause will be extended beyond the 21-day lockdown period. The company has also temporarily suspended production at its plants.
Do note that Royal Enfield has successfully cleared its BS4 inventory and the company is only offering BS6 bikes from 21 March 2020.
