The Royal Enfield FT450 is a custom-built flat tracker based on the Guerrilla 450. The motorcycle will be used at the Royal Enfield Slide School for flat-track racing. Let's take a detailed look at the bike through this image gallery.
The Royal Enfield FT450 features purposeful modifications that make it an out-and-out retro flat tracker. It features minimal bodywork, new graphics, and a few mechanical changes to go sideways around a race track.
It gets a flat fairing cowl in place of the LED headlamp. The cowl adorns the bike's racing number. The motorcycle also features a custom tail section with an integrated side panel and a flat seat.
The Royal Enfield FT450 Flat Tracker rides on 17-inch wire-spoke wheels wrapped in ReiseMoto dual-purpose tyres. And typical of a flat track machine, the FT450 doesn’t get a front brake.
The bike also features a custom exhaust canister for better performance and aural experience. Royal Enfield has also equipped it with Powertronic Fuel X Autotune for improved fuel injection optimisation.
Powering the FT450 Flat Tracker is a 452cc, liquid-cooled motor from the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. The engine produces 40bhp and 40Nm in its stock form. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield will use the FT450 Flat Tracker for flat-track racing competitions across the world.
