- Based on the Guerrilla 450
- Doesn't get a front brake
- Powered by a 452cc, liquid-cooled engine
Royal Enfield has taken the wraps of the FT450 Flat Tracker at Motoverse 2024. The motorcycle is based on the Guerrilla 450 and will be used at the Royal Enfield Slide School flat track races.
Compared to the Guerrilla 450, the Royal Enfield FT450 Flat Tracker has been modified to go sideways at the flat track race. Staying true to its name, the FT450 features a retro flat tracker styling with minimalist bodywork and new graphics.
The motorcycle swaps its LED headlamp for a fairing cowl and gets a custom tail section with a flat seat. The FT450 rides on 17-inch wire-spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. It also gets a custom exhaust and a Powertronic Fuel X Autotune fuel injection optimisation. Being a flat tracker bike, the Royal Enfield FT450 doesn’t get a front brake as the rear brake takes care of all braking and sliding duties.
The FT450 Flat Tracker is powered by the same 452cc, liquid-cooled motor that powers the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. The engine produces 40bhp and 40Nm of peak torque in its stock form. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
As we mentioned earlier, the FT450 is a custom-built flat tracker that Royal Enfield will use at its Slide School. However, the motorcycle will also be used for racing purposes across the world.
