- Powered by a 349cc single-cylinder engine
- First Royal Enfield J-series bike to get tubeless wheels
- Features ape-hanger handlebar, bobber styling and more
Royal Enfield has launched the Goan Classic 350 in India at Rs. 2.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). It is the latest 350cc motorcycle from Royal Enfield and is based on the existing Classic 350 but gets a bunch of new bits.
Royal Enfield has equipped the Goan Classic 350 with a round LED headlight, LED pilot lights, and LED turn indicators. Its styling is that of a bobber with a tall ape-hanger handlebar and a split seat with the floating unit for the pillion. The bikes come in four colours - Purple Haze, Rave Red, Shack Black, and Trip Teal.
Powering the Goan Classic 350 is the same 349cc engine that Royal Enfield uses for all its other 350cc bikes. It makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm and gets a five-speed gearbox. The bike’s chassis is tweaked and the rear suspension too has been retuned to accommodate the mildly loner swingarm. It rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. The braking hardware for the Goan Classic 350 includes a disc at both ends mounted on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear cross-spoke wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres.
Its features list includes an LED illumination, a digital-analogue console with readouts for the speedometer, tripmeter, odometer, gear position indicator and a secondary dial for the Tripper Navigation.
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 rivals the Jawa 42 Bobber and the Jawa Perak. We test rode it recently and here is what we think of it.
