In the past few months, we have seen quite a few spy shots of the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 350-based bobber, the Goan Classic 350. Now, we already know that it will debut at the Motoverse this year. So, here is what we expect from the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350.
Design
rom all the spy shots so far, it is quite clear that the Goan Classic 350 is a slightly revised version of the standard model. Most of the changes come in the form of the hardware including the tall U-shaped handlebar, white-walled tyres, and the detachable pillion seat. The latter also leaves the rear fender exposed which further accentuates the bike’s bobber’s styling approach.
Features
Along with an LED headlight, we expect the Goan Classic 350 to get the same instrument console as the current Classic 350. It is a single pod unit housing the necessary readouts, and Royal Enfield could also employ Tripper Navigation on the bike. If the Goan Classic is offered in multiple variants, we expect it to get single—and dual-channel ABS.
Engine
The Goan Classic 350 will be powered by the same J-series 349cc engine that makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm. The brand currently uses the same motor for the Classic 350, Meteor 350, Hunter 350, and Bullet 350. It will be linked to a five-speed gearbox. We expect little to no changes in terms of power delivery and engine performance in the real world.
Hardware
Royal Enfield will offer the Goan Classic 350 with telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. Its braking hardware will include a front and rear disc mounted on spoke wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres. However, the base variants of the Goan Classic are likely to have a drum brake at the rear.
Price
The asking price of the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 could be around Rs. 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it will be slotted above the standard Classic 350.
