- Overall sales increased by 18 per cent
- Classic 350 contributed the most
Royal Enfield has registered 18 per cent growth for the month of June. The company sold 74,477 units in June 2018 as against 63,160 units in the same month last year.
Of the total sales, domestic market contributed 72,588 units last month, whereas the export numbers stood at 1889 units. While the domestic business grew by 18 per cent, the international sales grew by a whopping 27 per cent. The strong increase in sales for the Chennai-based manufacturer is due to continuous demand for the Classic 350, which contributes close to 70 per cent of overall sales.
Royal Enfield has already launched the X versions of the Thunderbird range. While these bikes aren’t bringing volumes like the Classic 350, it does help the company with more walk-ins. It also launched the Pegasus 500 which will go on sale on 10 July. This is a limited edition model and can be only bought at the company’s official site.
