Royal Enfield has reported an overall sales growth of 33 per cent in October. The company sold 59,127 motorcycles last month as against 44,522 units in October 2015.
This strong growth is a result of continuous demand for the Classic 350. This bike gets the most sales to the company, followed by the Thunderbird range. Royal Enfield sold 58,379 units in the domestic market, whereas the exports stood at 748 units. But the exports saw a growth of 95 per cent as the company exported only 384 units last October.
Their latest product, the Himalayan hasn’t seen a great demand, due to its niche nature. But the Chennai-based manufacturer has asked its dealers to push this motorcycle more. The demand for the Himalayan has increased marginally, but that’s due to the festive season.
