The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has finally gone on sale in India. The new roadster brings a fresh design to the table, the Himalayan’s 452cc, single-cylinder engine and a lot more. Let’s see the bike in detail through images.
The design of the bike is one of its main features. While it is a modern-retro motorcycle in every sense of the word, it carves an identity for itself. The shape of the fuel tank, for instance, is very neat with the side bulges and the offset fuel filler cap. The round LED headlight is the same unit that you see on the Himalayan, a motorcycle on which this motorcycle is based.
Move to the side and the exposed subframe, the slim exhaust pipe and the small panel that bears the motorcycle’s name are all indicative of a form and function mixing well. The tail section, meanwhile, is similar to the Himalayan’s, down to the integrated LED tail light and indicators.
In terms of features, the bike’s top-spec Flash variant gets a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and Google navigation. The base variant, on the other hand, gets an analouge-digital instrument cluster, with a Tripper navigation pod as an option.
The hardware consists of a tubular steel frame that utilises the engine as a stressed member. This is similar to the Himalayan’s, however, the subframe is different in keeping with the roadster application of the bike. The frame is suspended by a 43mm telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock.
The Guerrilla 450 has the widest tyres in the segment. At the front, there is a 120/70- R17 tyre while at the rear there is a 160/60- R17 tyre. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by a 310mm disc at the front with a dual piston caliper while at the rear, there is a 270mm disc with a single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard.
The colours available with the bike are based on the variants. The Flash variant gets the Brava Blue and Yellow Ribbon colours. The Dash variant comprises the Gold Dip and Playa Black while under Analogue you've got Smoke and Playa Black.
