- Royal Enfield Guerrilla to be RE’s most affordable 450cc bike
- Likely to be priced around Rs 2.30 lakh
- Built on the Himalayan 450 platform
Royal Enfield will launch their most awaited motorcycle – the Guerrilla 450 on 17 July. The company recently revealed a set of teaser videos and pictures on various social media channels.
The Guerrilla 450, internally codenamed K1F, is Royal Enfield’s second 450cc motorcycle – the first being the Himalayan 450. This upcoming motorcycle will be positioned as an urban motorcycle below the Himalayan 450. In fact, the Guerrilla 450 will be the company’s most affordable 450cc bike.
Royal Enfield has plans to launch four more 450cc motorcycles in the future. There will be a Scrambler 450 (internally called K1K), a Café Racer 450 (internally called K1E) and also a Power Cruiser 450 (internally called K1D). There’s another Himalayan variant that will be launched sometime next year – the K1X Himalayan Raid. So out of all these variants, the Guerrilla 450 will bring in the maximum number of customers due to its urban-friendly nature. The rest of the motorcycles are quite focused and will only attract informed buyers. Due to this, the overall sales numbers of the rest of these bikes won’t be huge, and as a result, they will be priced quite high. The Guerrilla 450 on the other hand, is likely to become Royal Enfield’s highest-selling 450cc bike due to a good pricing.
We believe the Guerrilla 450 will have a starting price of around Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom), with multiple variants on offer. In fact, an introductory price of Rs 2.29 lakh is very much possible, because the Triumph Speed 400 is priced at Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom).
